How to Find the Corner House Norfolk West Runton B&B

The village of West Runton is situated on the North Norfolk coast approximately 125 miles (200 kms) north east of London.

The village is easily accessible to visitors with a number of transport links:

By rail

From London’s Liverpool Street station to Norwich. Change at Norwich for the Sheringham train which stops in West Runton. On leaving the railway station turn right and walk over the bridge, you are in Station Road. The Corner House is the last house on the left.

By car

From the south via Norwich.

Leave Norwich on the A 140 road for Cromer. This road leaves Norwich in a northerly direction passing Norwich Airport. From the Airport follow the A 140 for16 miles until you reach the village of Roughton. Immediately after the pub called the ” New Inn” turn left on to the B 1436 road signposted Sheringham. Follow the road for 3 miles to the T junction with the A 148 road and turn left. Follow the A 148 for approximately 1 mile and turn right at the pub called “The Roman Camp”. This lane is signposted West Runton and Shire Horse Centre. Follow it for 1 mile to the railway bridge. After the bridge it becomes Station Road and the Corner House is the last house on the left just before the T junction. It overlooks the small green called The Hurn.

From the south west via Swaffam and Fakenham.

Take the A 148 road. You will pass through Holt and High Kelling, they adjoin each other. From the outskirts of High Kelling, at the end of the speed restriction, travel a further 5 miles and you will see the pub called “The Roman Camp”. Turn left at the pub into a lane signposted West Runton and Shire Horse Centre. Follow it for 1 mile to the railway bridge. After the bridge it becomes Station Road and the Corner House is the last house on the left just before the T junction. It overlooks the small green called The Hurn.

From the west.

Take the A 149, the coast road, a picturesque drive through flint villages with splendid views across the marshes. Sheringham is well signposted along the route and when you reach it continue through the town staying on the A 149. From the roundabout in Sheringham follow the A 149 a further one and a half miles. This will bring you to the centre of West Runton, turn right into Station Road and the Corner House is the first house on the right overlooking the small green, called The Hurn.

By coach

National Express coaches leave London Victoria Coach Station twice daily for Cromer via West Runton. The coach stops in the village approximately 100 metres from the Corner House.

By bus

From Norwich Bus and Coach Station, Surrey Street Norwich.

By air

Norwich Airport is on the north side of Norwich on arriving there either hire a car or go by taxi to Norwich station. Thereafter use the information laid out above.
